How to convert .flac to .mp3 in Mac OS X?

I use Max, a freeware.

Setting up Max

• Go to Max’s Preferences.
• Click on the “Format” tab, and select “MP3″ from the list of Available Output Format. Now click on the “+” button. Finally, make sure you tick the “MP3″ option. The Format screen should look like this.
• Click on the “Output” tab, and set “Same as source files” for the Output Files option.

Convert .flac to .mp3

• Launch Max, and you’ll see this File Conversion window (otherwise select “Convert Files” from the File menu.)
• Drag and drop or click on the “+” button to select your .flac files.
• Click on the “Convert” icon to start the conversion.
